Minutes of the Meeting held on 4 April 2006 at 4 Ann's Place
Langley Moor, Durham
Present: Lo Brown (chair), Morag Craig, David Gibson, Julie
Hogg, Ray Logan, David Sowerbutts.

2. Minutes of last meeting
Taken as read.
3. Matters arising
None.
4. Correspondence
Letter received from Anne Westerberg saying she will be leaving NERO from the end of April.
Copy of letter from Anne Westerberg to Dave Gibson stating that the RSPB were taking up their references for him to be Group Leader and giving dates of induction courses. Dave is hoping to go to one in May at Abernethy.
5. AGM
Julie will ask Sarah Colwell what she needs in the way of video/DVD player, etc. Dave Gibson will bring one of our videos 'just in case'.
Lo will photocopy the Minutes for the AGM. Lo will email Richard to check that he will be able to do the Minutes for this AGM.
Decided to put it to the AGM to give £500 to Geltsdale again.
6. Newsletter
Julie has given Ray a copy of the new format newsletter to take to printers he has been talking to in order to get estimates of the cost of printing.
Morag said she is still willing to deliver to the Chester le Street area and Dave Gibson said he might be able to do Newton Hall.
7. Speakers for 2006/07
Julie has two definites for this year - Stephen Westerberg in October and Fred Milton in November.
Dave Gibson needs to contact John Steele to get a firm date before Julie approaches John Hemstock, who does a Christmas-specific talk, for the December meeting.
8. April Coach Trip
David Sowerbutts will book the coach once we know whether we have
enough people to make the trip viable. At the moment
- only 7 names.
9. AOB
i) Dave Gibson suggested asking at the AGM for people to join the
Committee or help on the door and with raffle ticket selling. There
was a general discussion about this with the opinion that it could
be shared out amongst the Committee if necessary.

iii) Forthcoming trips for the June Newsletter were discussed and decided as follows:

» Sat 12 Aug - Teesmouth, depart University 9 am
