Books and Conservation Services (BCS)
BCS supply natural history and bird books at discount prices, whilst raising funds for local RSPB Groups.

  

British Birds Rarities Committee (BBRC)
'The BBRC is the official adjudicator of rare bird records in Britain.  Its members are democratically elected by birders' representatives in each county and serve for a fixed term.  It publishes its annual report in the monthly journal British Birds.  These pages supplement these reports, enabling birders worldwide to keep abreast with latest committee news'.

  

British Ornithological Union (BOU)
The BOU 'aims to promote ornithology within the scientific and birdwatching communities by encouraging the study of birds in Britain, Europe and throughout the world in order to understand their biology and to aid their conservation'.

  

British Trust for Ornithology (BTO)
The BTO 'has existed since 1933 as an independent, scientific research trust, investigating the populations, movements and ecology of wild birds in the British Isles'.

Dean Birders
A project set up in the Forest of Dean area by two keen birdwatchers getting together and wanting to share their hobby with those that have difficulty getting out and about.  Includes information on birdwatching sites in that area.

  

Durham Bird Club
The Club organises indoor lectures and a varied programme of field trips.  It produces 'The Lek', a quarterly bulletin providing all the latest news and the annual report, 'Birds in Durham', which is the definitive account of all species recorded in the area.

Natural England
